Sometimes, as travel lovers, we have to discover ways to satisfy our starvation for adventure once we aren’t on the road. However what journey should actually be about, and the way I would love travel shows to go, is the folks you meet and what makes their lives different than yours. A time-travel show affords contained, episodic adventures while also building out a long game that’ll keep binge-y types coming up with fan theories. Bourdain’s program will see him seeking out new people, cultures and (of course) meals inside the small window of time afforded him by airport layovers in Asia, Europe and the United States.

Tonight’s highlight for the armchair traveller is actor Sue Johnston’s journey to Tibet, as she units off on a personal seek for the lost Himalayan utopia of Shangri-La I believe though, that tonight I’ll be taught much less concerning the Tibet than the movie … Read the rest
